Bringing back that new car feeling
Our client recently purchased a brand new 2023 Kia Forte GT and brought it in for a Premium Wash. He also added carpet and rubber mat shampooing to get that new car feeling back. This job took around 3 hours, but the end results were stunning. Read along as I walk you through this Kia Forte interior and exterior detail.

Seeing that this vehicle was in great shape overall, and the owner didn’t have pets, it was a pretty straightforward detail. I proceeded with working on the mats first so they could get enough time to dry, then deep cleaned the wheels followed by the exterior and finally the interior.

1. The Kia Forte Exterior Detail
For the exterior I started off with deep cleaning the wheels and tires. I used an assortment of brushes to agitate the wheel cleaner, P&S Break Buster, into the nooks and crevices of the wheels and wheel barrels. For the lug nuts, I used a bore hair brush to agitate and clean the lug nuts as well. I then rinsed the wheels off with the power washer.
Moving on to the body, I started off with a PH neutral foam rinse to ensure any stuck dirt is lifted and encapsulated. I then followed up with a thorough rinse. It is worth noting that our water runs through a softener removing minerals such as calcium and resulting in spot free washes every time.
After the rinse I applied another coat of foam and proceeded to give the Forte a hand wash using the two bucket method. I used chenille mitt to minimize any potential scratching or swirling. I finally detailed the door and trunk jambs before giving the care one final rinse.

2. The Kia Forte Interior Detail
For the interior I started by removing all the garbage and personal belongings of the client. Next, I removed the rubber mats and carpets and got to work deep cleaning both. For the rubber mats I used Adam’s Rubber Mat & Liner Cleaner and for the carpets I used Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner, also from Adam’s. I worked the chemicals in using a drill brush then rinsed the rubber mats off using the power washer. For the carpets, I wiped them dry using a micro fiber towel and let them air dry.
I then moved on to dusting and cleaning all the interior surfaces. As I mentioned earlier, the car was in pretty good shape so I didn’t use any dedicated interior cleaners. I used CARPRO’s InnerQD which was enough to get the interior gleaming. The client also loved how it smelled so bonus points there.
Next, I vacuumed the entire vehicle making sure to get deep under the seats and into the cup holders and door pockets. I finished off by shining the glass inside and out as well as the mirrors. I made a final walkaround to make sure nothing was missed before notifying the client that his car was ready for pickup.
Overall I really enjoyed this Kia Forte interior and exterior detail. I have to say that I am pretty impressed with the overall quality and style Kia is delivering with these new vehicles.
